Timing Belt Diagram for 1988 Ford Thunderbird?

Timing Belt Diagrams:-----


The crankshaft pulley needs to be removed, then only you will be able to remove the Timing Belt Cover

There are several types of pullers to remove the crankshaft (vibration) damper from the crankshaft.
Claw type, Bar Type & Bolt Type
If the Damper has threaded holes (where the pulley would bolt to) use the Bolt Type


Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the fan shroud, as required.
If necessary, drain the cooling system and remove the radiator.
Remove drive belts from pulley.
On those engines with a separate pulley, remove the retaining bolts and separate the pulley from the vibration damper.
Remove the vibration damper/pulley retaining bolt from the crankshaft end.
Using a puller, remove the damper/pulley from the crankshaft.
